About

The idea of a rights of passage is to offer the tools, knowledge, and available wisdom that is rightful of a people or tribe to its ascending members.

There are many tribal rights of passage rituals today that provide young men an offering of older traditions…ones that exist in the living memory of a tribe, but may no longer be part of the living ways for the people of that tribe.

In order for a rites of passage ritual to take root, it must have recognized meaning and present day utility.  Traditions that do not have contemporary living purpose will not truly be absorbed by the newer generations.  Forgotten relics and vague memories from the past cannot compete with the seductions of modernity and do not offer men a real foundation with which to journey into and through manhood.

The disconnection and isolation that exists in the world today is a result of lost identity and a loss of the ways that keeps us in connection with each other and with the Earth.  A vacuousness can be seen most intensely within the younger generations, as they are the furthest down the path of what has been lost.
The only redemption for the lost is to be found.

The Lion Hunt Rites of Passage program is designed to identify and establish the living answer to the questions :

Who Am I?

What has & is Life showing Me as My Purpose?

In what Direction Will I Choose to Go?

With Whom do I Stand & Who is Standing By Me?

These questions are explored as part of our origin story, in our family relationships, and through what we have learned so far to survive.

The process is a coming together of men …of fathers & sons …to go into answering these questions as an undeniable & vibrating Living Truth.  You will create an ongoing resource for yourself that consists of the joining of experience with other men … from family, friends and tribe …without which we are left unchaperoned and weakened on our rightful journey into manhood.

The Lion Hunt Rites of Passage is meant to shine light into what has been forgotten within yourself, between you and your father/sons/tribesmen, & to ignite the meaning in your life and what you are truly here to be and do.
